How it works
From onboarding to published articles
Step 1 of 7
- Onboarding. Captain asks what stories you care about, then records your beat, trusted sources, voice and process.
- Curate. Before 7 a.m. it reads your trusted sources and picks the stories that match your interests, with the best match marked.
- Select. You choose the story, describe the angle you want, and set the format, length and deadline.
- Research. Captain reads the story and finds three more sources that back it up, each tied to a highlighted claim.
- Write. It turns the research into a working draft in your voice, with every claim footnoted to its source.
- Edit. You edit the draft by hand. Captain keeps the version history and saves your edit as a new version.
- Publish. Once you approve it, one draft goes out to LinkedIn and X, and a copy is saved to Google Docs.
